Milton G. Votee, an elected member of the governing body here since 1931 and for twelve years Mayor, died this morning of a heart attack at Holy Name Hospital. His age was 81.

Mr. Votee, one of the organizers of the township manager form of government in Teaneck, was re-elected in 1958. A vigorous leader despite his age, he was planning to run again next year.

In 1958, the township renamed its Central Park the Milton Votee Park in recognition of his leadership in establishing local parks and playgrounds.

Mr. Votee retired from the Railway Express Company in 1951 after fifty-one years of service. He was secretary of the Bergen County Sewer Authority.
