Paquin: a member of the Teaneck Township Council since 1930 and in recent years editor of The King Features Daily Magazine, suffered a heart attack yesterday while in his office in the King Features Syndicate, 236 East Forty-fifth Street, New York and died in an ambulance on his way to hospital. His age was 74. He resided at 257 Cherry Lane here. Mr. Paquin was born in Tripoli, Iowa, and was graduated from the University of Minnesota. He served on the editorial staffs of The Minneapolis Tribune, The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago American before joining the staff of The New York Evening Journal in 1907. In 1909 he went with the International News Service, serving as assistant general manager until 1916, when he became business manager of the International Feature Service. He later went to King Features Syndicate. He leaves a widow, Josephine; a son, Samuel Jr.; two daughters, Marjorie and Josephine, and two sisters. |
