Louis G. Morten, Was  Councilman

TEANECK -- Louis G. Morten, , of 328 DeMott Ave., a former councilman here, died Friday in Hackensack Hospital.

Born in Sea Bright, Mr. Morten lived for many years in Jersey City.  He moved to Teaneck 45 years ago.

Mr. Morten practiced law in Jersey City for more than 70 years.  He served on the Teaneck Council in 1930, just prior to the change to the city manager system.  He was past mast of Enterprise Lodge 31, Free and Accepted Masons of Jersey City.  Surviving are his wife, Josephine; a son, Richard of Florence, S. C.; three brothers, Frederick of Florida, Walter of Huntington, N. Y., Richard of Teaneck, and three grandchildren.  

Religious services will be today at 8 p.m. and Masonic services at 8:30 p.m., both at Pienecke Funeral Home, 1321 Teaneck Road.  Visiting hours at the funeral home are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
