Thomas Boyd

Tom Boyd has spent most of his 23 years in Teaneck performing a variety of public services. He has been a member of the Board of Adjustment since 1972 and its chairman since 1977.

Currently, he is chairman of the North Teaneck Road Development Corporation, a nonprofit group that is engaged in the upgrading of the commercial area on Teaneck Road north of Route 4. He has held leadership posts with the Urban League for Bergen County, Omega Psi Phi fraternity, the Teaneck Political Assembly, the Northeast Community Organization (NECO) and the Teaneck Fair Housing Committee.

He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Morehouse College, Atlanta, and has done graduate work at Atlanta University and the City College of New York.

Married and the father of three, he is director of finance and purchasing for the Bergen County Private Industry Council. In previous employments, he was president of an automobile dealership and a Fortune 500 audit manager as an employee of the Internal Revenue Service.
