James T. Welsh

James T. WelshTownship Manager James T. Welsh has been a resident of Teaneck for five-and-a-half years. he moved here from Steubenville, Ohio, after accepting the position of Deputy to Township Manager Paul Volcker. Municipal governmetn was far from new to him for he had been a Councilman and Mayor of his former home community. During service in World War II, he was a Military Governor for the U. S. Navy.

Mr. Welsh attended Colgate University and Centenary College. At the latter institution he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He was awarded his Master's degree by the University of Pittsburgh and went on to Columbia University where he completed graduate work in Public Law and Government.

Mr. and Mrs. Welsh live at 161 Pinewood Place. They have two sons, Jim, now in the Mrine Corps, and Tim.
