This modest vernacular frame building of 2-story and story and a half gabled massing is typical of the smaller farm dwellings which were a vital part of the area's commerce in the mid-nineteenth century. The large trees and irregular setback are remnants of the agricultural landscape which once surrounded the dwelling, but now appear anomalous in this suburban neighborhood.
