You can register to vote for any election as soon as you move into Teaneck.  However, in order to actually vote in any election, you must have resided in Bergen County for at least 30 days.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION

New Student Registrations: (More info: http://www.teaneckschools.org/ under Parent Information)

1. Registration and residency forms are to be completed at the Teaneck Board of Education’s Administrative Offices at One Merrison Street during the following days and hours:

   Wednesday, Friday
   9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
   
   Tuesday, Thursday
   1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

2. Proof of Residency: Two are required. Town tax Bill or Deed, Rent/Lease - copy of lease or Affidavit of Landlord, utility bill, valid NJ driver’s license.
   
3. Birth Certificate: (Passport can be used to establish official date of birth if birth certificate is not available).
   
4. Record of Immunization: New Jersey State Law prohibits students from entering school without a Record of Immunization.
   
5. STATE ID: If student is transferring from another public school in New Jersey, then you need to have this state identification number from the previous school.
   
6. Complete name and address of previous school for transcript purposes.
   
7. Transfer Card from previous school showing the grade in which the student is entitled to be placed.
   
8. Last Report Card to assist counselor with placement of classes.

TAXES

Quarterly property tax payments are due on the following dates: February 1, May 1, August 1, November 1 at the Tax Office, located at the Municipal Building on Teaneck Road and Cedar Lane.  Telephone:  201-837-4819.
